Benefits for Part-Time Workers

For over 28 years, accomplished insurance broker John D'Angelo III has provided employers with Worksite Employee Benefits alongside the most innovative enrollment and communications technologies. Founder and CEO of the Forza Insurance Group, John D'Angelo III offers employers a plethora of voluntary benefits options, including packages scaled for part-time employees

The increase in part-time workers has shifted how employers provide benefits to their employees. Though part-timers are not generally offered the full range of benefits available to full-time employees, they may be eligible for health insurance or a company-backed 401k plan.

Some of these benefits are mandated by federal and state laws. However, for employees who work below the 30 hours per week cutoff for coverage mandated by the Affordable Care Act, employer-sponsored health insurance is an especially attractive benefit.

Employers may also extend fringe benefits, such as employee discounts, wellness programs, or work-from-home days, to their part-employees. By offering an enticing benefits package to part-time workers, companies can stand out in the crowded gig economy and attract the best talent. It also sends a signal that the company values all of its employees.

Forza Insurance Group Executive Helps FBI Expose Corruption

A graduate of Stockton University, insurance broker John D'Angelo III advocates for labor and health care reform and advises several labor organizations and the Puerto Rican government. Professionally, John D'Angelo III is a former president and CEO of Synergistic Healthcare and currently serves as the CEO of the New Jersey-based insurance brokerage Forza Insurance Group.

Outside of his professional work, Mr. D'Angelo engages in philanthropic work and charitable fundraising. In addition, he has proven himself to be a concerned citizen in regards to public-sector corruption. In 2007, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was investigating corruption at the Pleasantville Board of Education.

The 18-month investigation found that 11 public officials promised municipal business to undercover insurance brokers in return for thousands of dollars in bribes. Although he was not a target of the investigation, Mr. D'Angelo approached the FBI and volunteered to participate in and support the investigation, putting his business and reputation at risk. His voluntary assistance helped to expose the large network of corruption and bring the investigation to a successful close.

Following the investigation, Mr. D'Angelo’s support and heroic actions were formally acknowledged by Chris Christie, the former US Attorney in the New Jersey district.
